Righto, this thread is dedicated to songs and poetry. Can be your own, but doesn't have to be. Specifically I think that getting one's point, or idea across is more important than neat sounding words, rhyming, or keeping a beat.
Therefore, we'll primarily be trying to figure out what said songs/poetry meant. If it's your own work, give us about a week to argue about it before reavealing it's meaning.

Haha, yes! Here's mine:
Battle with a Bandit:
You came to me,Seeking help, But you find, Nothing but an old whelp.
You ask, “Where’s Your Master?” I was astonished Who is this boy?
“I’m not a slave or bastard, only such have a Master. Who do you seek, Mistaken boy? And once you find him, What be your ploy?”
“Well you see, I’m looking for the Teacher. To learn of Combat, So I can be a challenge, In any fight.”
“You say that you seek the Teacher. You have much to learn, If you can’t even recognize him.”
Quickly, you bow, Looking to the ground. I laugh, you realize, How foolish you did sound.
“Oh, can you teach me, Master of Combat? If once there was a man, Who wanted your knowledge?”
You beg, you pray, To be taught by me. The next day, We’re both ready.
I teach, you train, For several years now, The power, the pain, The easiest to see,
The best, Is now so easy to be, But the rest, Are as weak as a flea.
When we’re done, I stay, You go your way, To return to our little village, Much later.
The years pass by, Time seems to fly, A decade passed, And our town got attacked.
You came with them, The attackers, Saying, “Give money or die, Preferably die, A death to rejoice on, Is the real prize.” …I see madness in your eyes.
I see the bandits, And shout to you, “Come, come! No time to play, as we must drive these bandits away.”
“Bandits? You fool. We must earn our living. Come here, and I’ll show you A quicker route to death.”
You face me, we fight. You used all your might. “Death or Power!” you idiotically shout, “Murder earns you power? That, I doubt.”
Our duel ruined the house, It killed a mous, It showered blood on the flowers, And it took your arm.
We fought to the death, And indeed it cause yours, As you lay in the garden, Never to return.
You death caused some tears, To be shed from me, Your family, your friends, Your wife-would-be, But not from your good bandit friends, Who abonded you in need. Hah, ‘good friends’, ‘good friends’ indeed.

It seems to me, that it's about a boy who trained and trained under the careful eye of a master (Martial Arts, Swordsmaster, Master Archer, etc.) After he left, he joined a group of Bandits who returned, and tried to plunder the town. Seeking to prove to the bandits, (and perhaps to himself) the boy engaged in a furious fight with the Master. During this fight, none of the bandits aided the boy in the fight. The boy died, leaving the boy's family and his betrothed devistated. However, the bandits, who the boy threw his lot in with didn't care.

Red, not nearly. I have yet to even finish my own youth.
Quno, that was a nice summary, and I suppose that's what it "means", but basically this was my image of Betrayal.

Righto, here's one of mine by the name of "Days." Back before the king, before the queen, Before life started, I used to dream, That things would go on forever, It's how is seemed.
But then life slapped my face, Spun me around, sped up the pace And the Rain said: "You've passed your milestone And now, boy, you're on your own.
Remember getting hurt meant scraping your knee? Back when you were young, still free? Life was still new, and full of wonder, And you wish you could go back under?
Time pours down on life like vines, Raising kings, and ending bloodlines, Through it all, the rainbow glows, While Death laughs, and points to the gallows.
The softest hands still clench in fists, When life sticks in another knife, and twists, God doesn't mean harm, just wants your soul, Save me time, go dig yourself a hole.
Days drag on still, year by year, I wonder how long will I be here? The more I wonder, I just don't know All that's left is to get up and go.
The more I die, the more I find, I'm just adding scars to body and mind. Looking back on the road, days still flowing, I don't know where I am, and I don't know where I'm going.

Hmmm, that's a tough one.... One clarifying question: is the from the perspective of Death?

Well, I'd guess that the poem is you describing what you want life to be like, and what it turned out to be. But of course, I could have gone terribly wrong.

Any others?

Any others on what we thought, or on poems to give?
My thoughts on yours essentially ran along the same lines as Tath, that it was your view on life and how it passed you by and dragged you along while leaving you to feel like you could do nothing to change it.
As for a poem, I'm sure I can dig one up if you'd like.

I think it stops the invite if the person doesn't answer it. It dissapeared again.
